Ik ben Menno, 17 (in mei 18) jaar en ga aankomend schooljaar beginnen aan de studie mechanical engineering aan de TU. Ik kom uit Urk en hoop voor de komende studentenjaren in Enschede te kunnen doorbrengen. Ik ben een sociale en actieve gast die niet graag de hele avond alleen op zijn kamer zit. Daar horen natuurlijk ook een aantal hobby's bij. Ik hou van muziek maken en doe dit als slagwerker bij Showband Urk, waar we ook van gezelligheid houden. Ook ben ik bezig met audio- en videotechniek. Dit doe ik als geluidsman voor een kerk, maar ook bij feestjes kan je me vinden om de techniek te regelen. Ook kan een stukje sport niet ontbreken. Ik doe de laatste tijd aan hardlopen maar diverse sporten vind ik leuk om te doen.

I study full time and work on the side, train for fencing several times a week, and am heavily involved in building a new student association at Erasmus. My academic interests lean towards diplomacy and policy economics, so most of my time outside of training is spent either in lectures, reading, or working on projects in that space. In practice this means I am rarely home before the evening, I keep a structured routine, and I genuinely value coming back to a calm and tidy place. I clean up after myself, keep shared areas the way I found them, and would rather raise something small early than let it become awkward. No parties, no constant stream of visitors, no drama. Omdat we graag weer dichter richting ‘huis’ willen wonen, willen we naar Nijmegen verhuizen. Joris gaat na de zomer zeer waarschijnlijk fulltime voor de overheid werken in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Ik werk momenteel bij het Openbaar Ministerie en start binnenkort met mijn master aan de universiteit in Nijmegen. Omdat we beiden veel met het openbaar vervoer reizen, gaat onze voorkeur gaat uit naar een appartement op loopafstand van een station. Wij zijn allebei netjes, rustig en handig. We wonen inmiddels ruim drie jaar in ons appartement in Maastricht en hebben in die tijd nooit hulp van onze huisbaas hoeven vragen, bijvoorbeeld voor reparaties of onderhoud.
