I am Marjane. I live in Lyon, France and I am preparing for a French/British Baccalaureate with biology and social and economic sciences as my main subjects. Right now I’m working full time as a warehouse employee to save up some money so I can have it easier once I start my studies. At the same time I’m attending Taal school to get my Dutch to the next level, and after that I’m planning to start an MBO for movie editing since that’s my main passion. In my free time I’m usually busy with filmmaking and video editing, but I also love working out, going camping, or just hanging out and catching a movie. As a housemate I’m pretty easy-going and responsible, and I always make sure to keep the kitchen and common areas clean and organized. I definitely value having my own space but I’m always down for a good chat or a shared meal with the house.

Goedendag, Ik ben deeltijd PhD-student aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, bij de faculteit filosofie. Ik heb een dubbele nationaliteit, Duits en Zuid-Afrikaans, en woon al ongeveer twee jaar in Gouda (Zuid-Holland). Daarvoor heb ik in Brussel (ongeveer 7 jaar) en in Berlijn (ongeveer 1,5 jaar) gestudeerd en gewerkt. Gouda bevalt me goed, het was perfect om mijn proefschrift te schrijven, maar de verhuurder verkoopt het huis en ik moet dus vóór augustus van dit jaar verhuizen. I like to have meaningful conversations, and enjoy the occasional social event. Overall, however, I prefer a quieter peaceful environment. Currently I’m working on ‘The End of History’ hypothesis, and the ‘Dialectic of Enlightenment’. Would be happy to send a link to a book I published. Please feel free to ask any questions. Ik ben daarom op zoek naar een woning voor de langere termijn (5–10 jaar), zodat ik mijn werkzame en sociale leven verder kan opbouwen in en rondom Utrecht.
