My name is Rui Marques, I am Portuguese and 25 years old. Our monthly payment is provided by the Foundation for Science and Technology, which is the government entity in Portugal responsible for paying PhD students. Each of us earns 2218€ per month, with also a first additional income for housing deposits and travel. We can provide the needed documents to prove this. Both of us are well humored, calm, organized and unproblematic people. We both give a lot of importance to a clean, organized and quiet home.We enjoy hanging out and getting to know new places, go on walks and participate in the community around us but also enjoy cozy days at home watching movies and TV shows. I must add that I have already lived in Leiden for 6 months from july to december 2025 (I can also send proof of this and provide contact of my previous landlords ). This gives me already a notion of what it is like living in the Netherlands. Additionally we have 2 small dogs. Well behaved, trained and used to live indoors. We can move in on the first weeks of March. As we are in Portugal currently we are not able to visit the apartment. Im a BSc Psychology student at Leiden, where Ive lived for the better of the last 3.5 years. Im pretty much finished with my degree and am just doing some extracurricular work and internships all over the place before I do my master in Utrecht. Before I did my Bachelor I really wanted to become a chef, so cooking is still one of my favorite hobbies. Besides, I boulder on the occasion and do kickboxing. Im a huge music nerd and I consistently work as an English tutor which is great fun, but Ive also done all sorts of jobs you could encounter as a student ;) Ive lived in all sorts of living arrangments so far, from alone to 8+ people, and have enjoyed them all. I think im pretty adaptable but I know well enough that there are some things, like a cleaning schedule for example, that dont allow for flexibility. Besides, I love to get together occasionally and cook something or whatever, but life can get stressfull so Ill be the first to respect anyones space!
