Heyy, dit is Elin. Ik kom vanaf volgend schooljaar psychologie studeren op de UT, waar ik heel erg naar uit kijk. Zelf kom ik uit Ravenstein (dat ligt tussen Den bosch en Nijmegen), dus niet echt dicht bij Enschede haha. Daarom zoek ik nog een gezellig studentenhuis die bij mij past. Ik hou van gezellig kletsen, dansen en samen zijn, maar ook geniet ik er echt van om lekker zelf wat te lezen, muziek te luisteren of te tekenen bijvoorbeeld. Daarnaast is het bezoeken van concerten mijn grootste hobby en doe ik in mijn dagelijks leven aan dansen en werk ik nu nog in de supermarkt. Ik kan mezelf denk ik wel omschrijven als verantwoordelijk, gezellig, zelfstandig, creatief en nieuwsgierig over alles. Ik ben nu vooral heel nieuwsgierig naar het studentenleven en wil alles meemaken!

Ik vind het leuk om samen dingen te doen in huis, maar vind het ook heerlijk om mij even terug te trekken. Hi! My name is Raphaël, I'm a French architecture student currently studying in Belgium. I would describe myself as friendly, easy-going and respectful. I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.

Nieuwe stad, nieuwe studie, nieuwe mensen — daar heb ik zin in! Ik ben Floris, bijna 18, uit Liempde (NB) en ik start deze zomer met Geschiedenis aan de Universiteit Utrecht. Ik ben nieuwsgierig en geïnteresseerd in hoe dingen zijn ontstaan en waarom de wereld eruitziet zoals hij nu is. Naast studeren ben ik graag actief bezig. Ik hockey fanatiek, speel gitaar en wil in Utrecht gaan roeien en het studentenleven ontdekken. In huis ben ik sociaal, open en makkelijk in de omgang.
