I'm committed to being a respectful tenant, I'm currently renting a room and have had a very positive experience so far. I have never had any problems with my landlord or housemates, as I always make an effort to communicate clearly and respectfully. I pay my rent on time every month, take good care of the property, and keep my living space clean. I am a non-smoker, and I like to train in the gym. I do not have a real income, because my parents will pay for my rent, as the double major is very time consuming. I will be studying international relations, which is a subject I'm very passionate about! To pursue this, I am looking for accomodation starting this summer or fall. I've lived in flatshares for most of my previous studies, so I'm well-accustomed to living with others! I've also lived in a lot of different countries before - Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, India and Japan for example. I love getting to know new countries, new people and overall, cultural exchange and openness are very important to me when living abroad, especially towards the host country. As a roommate, I value exchange, respect and cleanliness in my sleeping area. I believe communication on how to live together comfortably is key. Is there a cleaning plan, or not? Do we value spending time together, or more of a private living arrangement? Beyond that, I have a dust allergy, so I keep my room very clean. Financially, I have always been a very reliable tenant. Ik ben Yeabtsega en ik zit momenteel in mijn laatste bachelorjaar in het conservatorium van Brussel. Ik studeer klassieke uitvoerende muziek, op tuba. Mijn voorstudies: Ik ben begonnen op trompet toen ik in het middelbaar zat en moest dan omschakelen naar tuba, door een beugel. Die omschakeling was pittig, maar daar door heb ik wel doorzettingsvermogen gecreëerd. […] In mijn vrije tijd zit ik in mijn vijfde en ook wel laatste jaar op de scouts, waar ik leiding geef aan verschillende leeftijden. Ik help graag mensen. Ik ben heel benieuwd en gemotiveerd om te leren hoe ik mensen kan helpen met muzikale interactie. Door mijn muzikale achtergrond helpt het me op een goede basis te vormen in muziek. Ik sta graag op het podium, waar ik mijn muziek door emoties kan brengen. Maar het liefst zou ik dit gerichter en persoonlijker willen doen. De opleiding muziektherapie in Enschede spreekt mij aan vanwege het een conservatorium is. Het muzikale gedeelte is even belangrijk als de therapie. Ik ben heel benieuwd om te zien wat mijn persoonlijke ontwikkeling zal eruit zien. Ik hoorde de term “zelfreflectie” een aantal keren vallen op de opendeurdag. Dat lijkt me al heel interessant en uitdagend.
