Hi! My name is Lara, I'm 21 years old and I'm in my third year of Cultural Anthropology, studying in Utrecht! I am Kurdish, but I was raised in Cyprus and moved to the Netherlands around 11 years ago :) So I speak Dutch as fluent as English! I also speek Greek, Kurdish ofcourse and a bit of Arabic. Aside from my studies, I like going to the gym a few times a week, I work a lot and I like going to festivals every once in a while :) I try to be creative by putting together fun outfits that feel like me, I also have been spending time decorating my bags with charms/jewellery to add a bit of spice to them XD Other than that, I am very social, big on having a clean, tidy and organized space (it keeps my mind calm as well haha) and very open minded. I also did an erasmus exchange last year in Malta, so I have experience living with roommates and it went super smoothly! Sinds september 2025 ben ik met mijn eerste baan gestart als onderzoekstechnicus/onderzoeker bij de microbiologie afdeling aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, echter woon ik nu nog in mijn studentenstad Wageningen wat een reistijd van (minimaal, als het OV meezit) 4 uur per dag met zich meebrengt om op mijn werk en thuis te geraken. Daarnaast zal ik in juli 2026 mijn huidige woning uitgezet worden, waardoor ik op zoek ben naar een nieuwe woning idealiter een stukje dichter bij mijn werk :). Ik ga zorgvuldig om met mijn woonruimte en vind het belangrijk dat een woning schoon en netjes blijft. Ik heb een vast werkritme en ben doordeweeks vooral gericht op werk en ontspanning thuis. In het weekend vind ik het gezellig om af en toe iets te ondernemen met vrienden, maar thuis hecht ik vooral aan rust en ontspanning. In mijn vrije tijd lees ik graag, ben ik creatief bezig (haken, breien, af en toe schilderen, bakken en koken) en breng ik graag tijd buiten door.
