I'm looking for a place to call home for the next couple of years while I complete my degrees. I've moved around quite a bit over the past few years, including spending six months in Canada on exchange, so I'm very comfortable living with different people and adapting to new environments. Hi everyone! I’m Nils, 24, and about to start my Master’s degree (Modern and Contemporary History) in Utrecht after wrapping up my Bachelor’s in Political Science and History. I’ve spent the last 10 years working in gastronomy as a bartender and waiter – first in my father's restaurant back in Nuremberg and later while studying in Mainz. It keeps me on my toes, makes me easy to talk to, and taught me how to actually keep things clean without being weird about it. Before starting university I spent a gap year solo-travelling through South America, working in Maui and honing my surf skills, and spending a month in Bali surfing twice a day and meeting travellers from all over the world. It was an incredible experience that taught me a lot about independence, adaptability, and looking after myself (and others) wherever I am. I’m a responsible and tidy person; I take good care of shared spaces and respect the home I live in. I’m a non-smoker and don’t have any pets. I’m also pretty handy when it comes to DIY, so small things that need fixing are never a problem! Outside of my studies, I’m very active and love sport - tennis, kitesurfing, foil, surfing, skiing, wakeboarding, and hiking are all part of my life.
