Hi! My name is Stefania, I’m 36 and I’m a visual artist from Greece. I studied Fine Arts in Greece and I’m moving to the Netherlands at the end of August. I’m planning to start my Master’s in Fine Arts in 2027, so I decided to move one year earlier. I want to have some time to settle in, get used to living in the Netherlands and work and save some money before I start my studies. Als u een tuintje voor mij heeft, of een lichte ruimte voor een paar kamerplanten, ben ik driedubbel gelukkig! Een niet al te hoog huurbedrag zou mij enorm helpen om mijn kunst, hobby's en roadtrips te financieren. Daarom zou ik graag een woning hebben die in aanmerking komt voor huurtoeslag. I am a Dutch-British student looking for an apartment while studying at Erasmus University School of Economics. I was born in London, hold a Dutch passport and am very much looking forward to exploring and experiencing the great city of Rotterdam. I will be studying International Bachelor Economics and Business Economics at Erasmus come September. I am looking for a property/room relatively close to the university and centrum. I enjoy playing sports, especially Rugby and Boxing. My spare time is usually spent cooking or at the gym. I am a clean and tidy individual and I hope to find a place similar. I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.
