Hi, I am Rafael, 43 years old, originally from Brazil, and I have been living in Groningen for the past 7 years. I came to the Netherlands to do my PhD in artificial intelligence, and for the past 3 years I have been working as a Lecturer in AI at the University of Groningen. Starting in June, I will begin a new position at Leiden University as a Lecturer in the Computer Science department. I am looking for a temporary place in Leiden for up to six months, where I can stay three to four nights per week while I get to know the city better and search for a permanent place. Hi! I’m Hannes - 22-year-old product designer from Bavaria (near Munich, Germany) and I will start my Master’s at TU Delft 1st of September. I recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Technical Design and I’m very passionate about design, furniture, and DIY projects. I played ice hockey for many years at a high level, and nowadays I love road cycling, mountain biking, going to the gym, and skiing. Even though I love the mountains, I’m really excited about living in the Netherlands and especially looking forward to cycling here – I even have a few vintage road bikes :) As a person, I’m clean, disciplined, and respectful in shared spaces. I like to keep things organized and comfortable for everyone. At the same time, I’m social and enjoy student life.
