I'm a long-time self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) pursuing fluency in Dutch, recently relocated the Netherlands (Feb. 1st, 2026) via a DAFT Visa. I have a valid residence permit, a network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, and am currently staying in Huizen. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Bussum and LOVE Baarn. I have excellent references, rental history, and would be delighted to be the dream tenant you hope for, far beyond just the standard financial responsibility. I care for my space, have a green thumb, and love people, adore animals, art, golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! Hoii, Ik ben Jelmer, 23 jaar en afkomstig uit het mooie Gorinchem. Momenteel ben ik aan het afstuderen in Utrecht voor mijn opleiding Bedrijfskunde en daarna wil ik hier mijn master Banking and Finance gaan volgen. In mijn vrije tijd drink ik graag speciaalbiertjes in de zon, heb ik mijn hele leven gehockeyd (wat ik na de zomer in Utrecht weer wil oppakken) en ben ik regelmatig in de sportschool te vinden. In terms of housing, my preference would be in Amsterdam within a reasonable commute to the Roeterseiland campus, but understand I may need to look further out. I’m very clean and quite quiet, though I do like socializing with my roommates when we’re able to.
