Hello! I'm Noah. I'm turning 22 in October. I was born in Hong Kong and have lived overseas in many countries all my life. I moved to the Netherlands from Panama in 2023, and have just graduated with a Bachelor of Science where I specialized in chemistry. I'm Dutch, Brazilian, and Canadian, and speak English (some spanish and I'm learning Dutch 😅). I am moving to Eindhoven to start my final two-year masters at Technical University Eindhoven, studying chemical engineering. I consider myself to be a high-achieving, hardworking, and responsible student, I take my studies very seriously and I have a very strong work-ethic as I also take on a part-time job throughout my studies. Finally, I take pride in my cleanliness; I always keep my personal things tidy and am more than happy to help clean up around the house. Regarding my hobbies and personal interests, I have the best time cooking food, playing board games and online games, going out for a morning coffee, and watching anime/movies/tv series with friends and my long distance girlfriend. I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.

Hey, ik ben Marjolein! Ik ga dit jaar beginnen met de studie Bio en Medisch Laboratorium op Avans Hogeschool. Ik wou eigenlijk vorig jaar aan de studie beginnen, maar door 3 rug operaties die in de weg kwamen was dit niet mogelijk. Ik heb veel karakter eigenschappen, de ene beter dan de ander. Ik ben een intens spontaan persoon, maar kan op het begin terug getrokken overkomen als ik in een nieuwe situatie kom. Eerlijkheid staat bij mij voorop. Ook ben ik een zeer opgeruimd en net persoon en hou van een opgeruimde plek om te wonen. Ik ben niet perse van het uitgaan, maar ga hier en daar mee met vrienden voor de gezelligheid. Als je me wilt leren kennen dan is een ontmoeting in het echt het perfecte moment. Ik kom me graag persoonlijk voorstellen om te kijken of er een klik is!

ik ben Kiki, 19 jaar en ben dit jaar begonnen met studie scheikunde. Ook eerste jaar bij veritas. Ik ben altijd in voor gezelligheid en hou ook van dingen organiseren. Ook vind ik het leuk om sportief bezig te zijn! Ik heb jarenlang gehockeyd en ben dit jaar voor het eerst gestopt. Dus ben nu begonnen met hardlopen om alsnog mijn beweging te krijgen. Koken vind ik ook leuk om te doen, ik werk ook in de keuken bij een restaurant. Hou ervan om avondjes organiseren om te koken en lekker drankjes te doen. (kiptandoori is dan ook zeker m’n signature dish;)). Andere zullen mij omschrijven als; enthousiast, sociaal, vrolijk, gepassioneerd, gezellig en netjes. Ik vind het super leuk om na een drukke dag lekker te koken en even lekker te kletsen met het huis. Ik ben altijd in om iets te doen en vaak komt nee niet in mijn woordenboek voor. Ik ben een open boek maar kan ook een goed luisterend oor zijn. ik vind het leuk om betrokken te zijn en zelf dingen te organiseren, dus ik zie mezelf daar helemaal in opgaan!
