Hi everyone! I'm Lola, 22 years old and from Vienna, Austria. I'll be moving to the Netherlands at the end of August to get my Masters in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University (The Hague Campus). Ideally, I'm trying to find a room in a shared apartment/house with roommates or a small apartment/studio either in The Hague, Leiden or Delft to rent for a little more than a year starting mid-August. I'm very excited to be studying "abroad" (or away from home, I guess) again, as I find that experiencing new cultures is one of the best things a young person can do. I'm a huge fan of traveling and I got my Bachelor's degree in the United States, so I think living somewhere different in Europe for my Masters will be a cool change. I'm used to living with people, I've always grown up with siblings and spent the last four years living with 1, 2 and all the way up to 6 people, so I'd say I'm quite adaptable and know how roommate life works. As for my free time, I looove all things food and going out to eat, hanging out with my roommates, reading, going out on the weekends but also having fun nights in. I would describe myself as outgoing, responsible, independent, easygoing, and fun to be around. I'm also a very active person, I've played tennis my whole life and played college sports while in the US but generally enjoy most sports (especially volleyball and football). I don't speak Dutch yet BUT I'll be learning, so for now I hope my German and English (and humble French) will suffice :). Excited to meet you guys!!

Hoi! Ik ben Elke, 21 jaar en student Communication & Multimedia Design. Momenteel zit ik in het derde jaar van mijn bachelor en komend jaar ga ik een minor Communicatiewetenschap aan de Radboud Universiteit volgen. Naast mijn studie werk ik nu al drie jaar in de horeca, waar ik het erg naar mijn zin heb. In mijn vrije tijd lees ik graag, kijk ik films en series, houd ik van gamen en vind ik het leuk om te bakken. Ook ontdek ik graag nieuwe plekken en hou ik van reizen. Verder breng ik graag tijd door met vrienden, bijvoorbeeld tijdens een spelletjesavond of gewoon gezellig ergens een drankje doen. Ik ben een rustig en sociaal persoon. Ik vind het fijn om mijn eigen ding te kunnen doen, maar sta ook altijd open voor een gezellig praatje of om samen iets te ondernemen. Daarnaast vind ik het belangrijk dat een huis netjes en schoon blijft, dus daar draag ik zelf ook graag aan bij.

I’m Markus, a 26-year-old Medical Engineering student from JKU/Austria. I’ll be studying at TU/e in Eindhoven as part of an exchange programme, and I’m looking for accommodation from around 17 August until the end of January. I’m generally pretty relaxed and enjoy spending time with other people, but I’m also perfectly happy doing my own thing. When it comes to my own projects and interests, I can sometimes get a bit too invested in the details — probably an engineering thing :) In my free time I like dancing, going to the gym, running and swimming. I also play the trombone and enjoy programming, although I probably won’t be bringing the trombone to Eindhoven :)

My story begins in Latvia (Baltic States), here i have grown up and over time i managed to learn to play saxophone and piano, and overall make music, and listen to all kinds of jazz-fusion music.
