It must be the amazing weather and food that is making me stay here! /s I have always been living in/around Nijmegen, but my urge to live in a bigger city where there are more (cultural) happenings and opportunities grow stronger and stronger. I want to be near people, meet more like-minded people. It has become very clear to me that I need to move. I studied art history and visual cultures, but my passions are very broad. I hate to be restricted and bound by one specialisation. I love cinema, arts and photography. I enjoy being creative and romantic. Hello! My name is Liadha (pronounced Lia), I am a 31 year old Irish female who is looking for a room in a place shared with like-minded people. I’m new to Amsterdam but not new to living abroad; I spent the last 6 years in Toronto, Canada, which I loved! I work in digital marketing and have a job in this field in Amsterdam, which is located in Amsterdam Zuid. I rented an apartment by myself for the past 3 years, so am used to managing the responsibilities of being a tenant, and can provide a great reference from the landlord. Prior to this, I lived in shared accommodation from the age of 17 and grew up with 4 sisters, so I am very much accustomed to sharing a living space! I like to work out or go for a run in the mornings, then generally work 9-5. I keep weekday evenings pretty chill, generally just cooking dinner and watching TV, but I like to meet friends for food or drinks later in the week and on weekends. I love trying new bars and restaurants so am excited to explore Amsterdam! I don’t know a lot of people in Amsterdam yet so am hoping to hang out with my new roommate(s) from time to time but I’m also totally fine with it if they like to keep to themselves. I love TV//film, good food, fashion, hiking, pilates, reading, travelling… if it sounds like a good fit, I’d love to arrange a viewing and meet properly :)

Hi! I'm Yannick, 21 years (I'll be 22 by the time I'm moving) old and originally from Thuringia, Germany. I just finished my Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce and will start my Master’s at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) in September. Until then, I’m working and preparing for the move – including improving my Dutch! I’m looking for a furnished (or partly furnished) studio, apartment or a room in a shared flat in Rotterdam, Vlaardingen, Schiedam or Capelle aan den IJssel. My budget is around €800/month (including bills), and ideally I’d like to move in sometime in August (July is also possible). As a roommate or tenant, I’m respectful, calm and tidy. I enjoy a clean and relaxed environment but I’m also open and social when the moment calls for it. I don’t smoke and I’m easygoing when it comes to food – just not a fan of mushrooms 😉. Outside of work and uni, I stay active: I’ve been playing football since I was a kid, I go to the gym, run regularly and love to cook for friends and family. On weekends I’m always up for social events or a good party, but I balance that with a healthy and active lifestyle. I plan to stay in Rotterdam for at least the full duration of my Master’s (1 year, possibly longer). Als ik goed met iemand kan opschieten ben ik erg sociaal en hou ik er van om af en toe samen dingen te doen.
