Hello, I am Alexander (25 y/o, male) and am looking to move to Amsterdam to follow my passiona and work as a chef. I am looking for a room in a shared space or a two/three bedroom apartment to start my own shared flat with my mates from Amsterdam. I’ve lived in shared flats all my adult life, so I know how to be part of a relaxed, tidy, and respectful living environment. My salary will be that of a Chef de Partie in Amsterdam (From what I can tell approx. 3000€ + Tip). Unfortunately I am not able to provide a contract, as the employers wont finalize working agreements until housing is taken care of. If necessary, my parents can act as guarantors. As for myself I am a very uncomplicated fellow, I enjoy the outdoors, ciciling, dinner with friends and have a pretty mindful and healthy lifestyle in general. I am a Computer Science student from the Technical University of Łódź - Poland, on an exchange to UT for a semester from 02.2026 to 07.2026. I would say I am a pretty creative, but technical-minded person - I love to tinker, design and build all kinds of stuff, like 3D modelling and printing gadgets, electronic gizmos, building computer apps and recently - VR games. Back in Łódź I am an active member of a couple student organizations, including a student science club 'UbiCOMP' In my free time I like to hike - be it mountains or my local forest. I also like to bike and am (reportedly) a pretty good home cook. My intention is to study and continue work on my projects, but I definitely want to make time for fun, to meet new people and experience Dutch culture. I will probably not be arriving in the Netherlands until late January / early February so in-person room viewings may be an issue, but I will happily talk on a video call.
