I am an international student from the Czech Republic, currently studying in Amsterdam. I am searching for accomodation for my upcoming studies in the UvA Master of Brain and Cognitive Science. I am tidy and quiet, and I don't smoke or have any pets. While I consider myself an introvert, I can also be social and outgoing if I'm in the right mood with the right people. Some of my hobbies and interests include reading (especially fantasy and sci-fi), running, meditation, ultimate frisbee, and traveling. What I enjoy about studying away from my home country is the associated freedom, expanding my comfort zone, and discovering new places and cultures.

I am Marjane. I live in Lyon, France and I am preparing for a French/British Baccalaureate with biology and social and economic sciences as my main subjects. I want to study psychology because I’m interested in human behaviors. Later on, I want to mix psychology with cognitive sciences or move to Neuro-psychology. Psychology and biology are my main interests! Outside work I like climbing, volleyball and cycling. Climbing is very much part of our family culture, we often go on climbing holidays with my parents and my brother in the cliffs near Lyon or in the Alps. I cycle to college every day. I also play trumpet in a brass Orchestra. It’s quite fun and a good way to meet nice people. We moved to Lyon when I was 11. Before that we were living in Southampton, UK. It was very cosmopolitan, I grew up with kids from Italy, Latin America, India, Poland etc... This is why I am very excited to study in Leiden to experience this cultural diversity that I enjoyed so much as a kid. Being the eldest sibling in a family with two children, taking care of others has always been a pleasure. That is also why I take care of young children monthly with a scout non-profit organisation.

Ik werk 38 uur per week en heb een vast inkomen van €2000 per maand. Door mijn werk maak ik lange dagen, waardoor ik doordeweeks veel werk en vooral thuis kom om te eten en te slapen. Ik ben dus geen feestende huisgenoot, maar een rustige en serieuze werker. In mijn vrije tijd sport ik veel en houd ik van koken. Ik ben netjes, schoon en gewend om in een professionele omgeving te werken. Ik zoek een kamer voor langere tijd (minimaal 1 jaar) en wil graag rond augustus intrekken.
