Hi everyone! I'm Lola, 22 years old and from Vienna, Austria. I'll be moving to the Netherlands at the end of August to get my Masters in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University (The Hague Campus). Ideally, I'm trying to find a room in a shared apartment/house with roommates or a small apartment/studio either in The Hague, Leiden or Delft to rent for a little more than a year starting mid-August. I'm very excited to be studying "abroad" (or away from home, I guess) again, as I find that experiencing new cultures is one of the best things a young person can do. I'm a huge fan of traveling and I got my Bachelor's degree in the United States, so I think living somewhere different in Europe for my Masters will be a cool change. I'm used to living with people, I've always grown up with siblings and spent the last four years living with 1, 2 and all the way up to 6 people, so I'd say I'm quite adaptable and know how roommate life works. As for my free time, I looove all things food and going out to eat, hanging out with my roommates, reading, going out on the weekends but also having fun nights in. I would describe myself as outgoing, responsible, independent, easygoing, and fun to be around. I'm also a very active person, I've played tennis my whole life and played college sports while in the US but generally enjoy most sports (especially volleyball and football). I don't speak Dutch yet BUT I'll be learning, so for now I hope my German and English (and humble French) will suffice :). Excited to meet you guys!!

After that, I plan to continue with the Master’s programme, so I am looking for a nice place to stay in Rotterdam. I am a calm, tidy and reliable person and I would treat the room or apartment with care and respect. I enjoy a good balance between studying, working and social life. In my free time, I like doing sports, going for walks, meeting friends, exploring nice cafés and bars, and discovering new places in the city. I am flexible regarding the rental period. Ideally, I would like to stay longer, but anything from around 3 months up to 2 years would work for me. I am also flexible with the move-in date and could move in soon if needed. De afgelopen jaren ben ik actief geweest bij Top Dutch Solar Racing, waar ik samen met het team een zonneauto heb ontwikkeld voor de Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australië. Het was een unieke ervaring waar ik met veel plezier op terugkijk. Als huisgenoot ben ik rustig, sociaal en netjes. Ik vind het belangrijk dat de gezamenlijke ruimtes schoon en opgeruimd blijven en draag daar graag mijn steentje aan bij.
