Hoi, Mijn naam is Roman, ik ben 22 jaar en heb onlangs mijn bachelor Filosofie, Politicologie en Economie afgerond aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Vanaf september begin ik aan de master Econometrics aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam en ben ik op zoek naar een kamer voor de duur van deze master, ongeveer twee jaar. Tijdens mijn bachelor ben ik onder andere bestuurslid geweest bij de Amnesty International Student Group Amsterdam, waar ik verantwoordelijk was voor externe relaties en evenementenorganisatie. Daarnaast werk ik als stadsgids in Amsterdam, waar ik rondleidingen geef over de geschiedenis en politiek van de stad. Dit werk heeft mijn communicatieve vaardigheden sterk ontwikkeld en ik ga graag het gesprek aan met mensen van uiteenlopende achtergronden. Ik ben internationaal georiënteerd, maar spreek inmiddels ook Nederlands op B1-niveau en oefen dit graag verder. In mijn vrije tijd ga ik regelmatig naar de sportschool en verdiep ik me in kunst, onder andere door regelmatig musea te bezoeken. Ik ben benieuwd om me daarnaast ook creatief te ontwikkelen, bijvoorbeeld met keramiek of schilderen. Als huisgenoot ben ik sociaal en behulpzaam, maar ik respecteer ook rust en privacy. Hi, I'm Dominik. In June I was admitted to study Computer Science at Saxion University and started organizing my new life as a first year student in Enschede looking for accommodation. I come from a multicultural family - my mother is of Slovak origin and my father is of Colombian origin, so I have both nationalities and I have applied in Saxion University with my Slovak nationality, although I currently reside with my family in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. I am 17 years old and I have just finished my secondary school in Bogota, but very soon I will turn 18 and I consider myself mature enough to move away from my family and embark on a new path at Saxion University. In my multicultural family I have learned since I was little to travel a lot and enjoy adventures of all kinds. From a very young age I have started racing swimming training and today I am the performance swimmer affiliated with the Swimming Federation of Colombia and also of Slovakia. I hope to continue with this hobby also in Holland, since I like sports in general. Outside of sports, perhaps like most young people of my age, I like music and video games. I come from very far away (Colombia) and I have faith that living this way I will be able to adapt much easier to my new life and make lasting friendships with mutual support. Being an athlete since I was little, I am used to sharing with my peers and providing support when required, I am a friendly and social person. Coming from a multicultural family I think I was raised to be respectful and open-minded.
