Dear landlord / future housemates :) My name is Sidra, and I am looking for a room or studio in Tilburg as I prepare to start my graduate program at Tilburg University this September (2026). I am originally from Syria and I grew up attending international schools and travelling often with my family, so I have always lived in quite international environments. I currently live in Moscow, where I teach English at an international academy. After visiting the Netherlands in 2025, I fell in love with the country and the people and so I am very excited to now make the move and begin this new chapter in Tilburg. I am now on the look out for a place I can settle in and hopefully make my home for the next 6 to 12 months. I have experience living with other tenants and am very familiar with the norms that come with sharing a flat. For me, the most important things in a shared living space are respecting each other’s privacy and sleeping schedules, keeping common areas clean, and communicating clearly whenever anything needs to be discussed. I am sociable, respectful, tidy, and laid back. I enjoy meeting new people, but I also value a calm and comfortable home environment. During my time in Tilburg, I imagine I will be mostly focused on my studies and staying active, as I love sports and generally enjoy having a healthy routine. I also love to cook, and would be very happy to talk about recipes and food and maybe exchange a few favourite dishes with future housemates. Hey, mijn naam is Roy en ik studeer Communicatie aan de Hanze. Volgend jaar wil ik International Relations and International Organization aan de RUG studeren. In mijn vrije tijd sport ik graag, of spreek ik af met vrienden. Ik ben een sociaal iemand en vind het leuk om af en toe iets samen te doen (maar ik doe ook prima mijn eigen ding). Doordeweeks ben ik bezig met werk, studie en sporten en ik wil misschien binnenkort ook bij een studentenvereniging. Ik woon in een klein dorp vlakbij Heerenveen, dus ver van Groningen (een kleine 1 uur en 25 min met de bus). Hier werk ik in het weekend in een boekenwinkel en heb daar een vast inkomen.
