I started studying Industrial Design Engineering at THUAS in September, but already quit (because they were really bad at teaching). I have a part-time job since February. I'm going to study Industrial Design at TU Eindhoven from September, but I'm ready to move a few months earlier. Hoi! Ik ben Thijmen, 23 jaar en heb gestudeerd in Groningen, waar ik een geweldige studententijd heb gehad. Ik heb inmiddels mijn bachelor Biologie en mijn master Energy & Environmental Sciences gehaald, maar ik ben nog niet helemaal uitgestudeerd. Vandaar dat ik heb besloten nog en master in Public Administration aan de UTwente te doen en zoek ik een fijne plek om te wonen in Enschede. Ik vind het ontzettend gezellig om samen met huisgenoten te eten, een drankje te doen, een goed bordspel te spelen of gewoon even op de bank te hangen. Tegelijkertijd vind ik het ook helemaal prima als iedereen lekker zijn eigen gang gaat en waardeer ik mijn persoonlijke ruimte als ik even rustig aan wil doen. In mijn vrije tijd vermaak ik me altijd wel. Ik speel graag wat op mijn gitaar, hou op m'n tijd van wat gamen en ga regelmatig een rondje hardlopen (met als doel de halve marathon). Daarnaast ben ik nu nog elk weekend actief als leiding bij een scoutingvereniging in Groningen. Zodra ik in Enschede gesetteld ben, ben ik zeker van plan om daar in de buurt ook weer zoiets op te pakken. Ook ben ik graag met mijn vrienden. We plannen regelmatig speciaalbier avondjes, een whiskey proeverij of een leuke, actieve activiteit, zoals padellen. Hey hey, I am about to start my Master’s in Molecular Medicine at EUR and am therefore looking for a place to live in Rotterdam, that maybe is even near the medicine campus (fingers crossed). Currently, I live in student housing in Dresden, Germany, with three flatmates. We get along very well, even with few formal rules, as we naturally clean up after one another. Would be great to find flatemates like this as well as have a nice kitchen to cook. Since I eespecially enjoy cooking evenings with my flatmates, even if they are not as frequent anymore due to our busy schedules. Apart from writing my Bachelor’s thesis, I spend my time playing field hockey, trying out new sports such as canoe polo, taking language classes (for example Japanese), and going out with friends. When I am not busy, I really appreciate having a place where I can relax watch a movie or read a bit. The best is after a long day (or night) to come back to a place where I feel comfortable and homey. Maybe your place is this perfect spot???
