A little bit about myself: I am from Cyprus, I’m 22 years old and i’m moving from Amsterdam to Rotterdam to do a Maritime and Transport Law masters degree in the Erasmus University :) Fun fact: this will actually be my second master’s degree! I just finished my LLM in Public International Law at the University of Amsterdam. Before that, I lived in Groningen for three years where i did my bachelors degree. So I think it’s fair to say I’ve become quite attached to the Netherlands, I already know (and genuinely enjoy) the Dutch lifestyle, which makes staying here for another year feel like just a very natural next step. I love reading and cooking and even sometimes sharing meals with friends. I love going to concerts and seeing my favourite artists live, and I also appreciate spending time outdoors, whether it's exploring the city, going on a bike rides to see the sunset or organizing fun and vibey hangouts with friends! Back in Amsterdam, I briefly started going to pilates, which i found surprisingly fun!! I also had a part-time job there which I am planning on continuing in Rotterdam,so apart from uni, i will also work a few days a week!! I have been living with 2 roommates for the past 4 years here in the Netherlands, and we built a great routine and balance when it comes to sharing space. As this is now my fifth year living abroad and sharing housing, I am used to cohabiting respectfully and maintaining a tidy, clean and quiet environment, which obviously includes cleaning up after yourself, sharing chores, but also being transparent with one another! We are currently searching for a furnished 1 to 2 bedroom apartment starting from 26 August 2026, with a maximum budget range of €1,500 to €2,000. Ideally, we would prefer a place with registration and a long-term contract, but we’re also open to temporary housing for 6 months if that helps us settle in comfortably while we search for something more permanent. We’re flexible when it comes to location, as long as the commute to Bijlmer Arena is manageable by public transport, ideally within 30 minutes or so. Areas such as Amstelveen, Diemen, Amsterdam Zuid, Nieuw-West, Haarlem, Hoofddorp, Aalsmeer, Heemstede, and nearby locations would all work well for us.
