I have recently been admitted to a fully-funded 4-year PhD programme at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam. Alongside my studies, I work remotely as a freelance researcher for the UMC Groningen. I moved to the Netherlands 2.5 years ago to complete my Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at RUG, and I’m now looking for an apartment closer to my new workplace as I am currently residing in Groningen. In my free time, I’m a passionate sports enthusiast - I enjoy kitesurfing, road biking, and climbing. In daily life, I’m calm, tidy, and rather quiet. I value a peaceful environment and thus am looking for a quiet place where I can focus on my research and rest after work. I don’t smoke, and I’m not a party person. Beste verhuurder, Ik ben Gijs, 26 jaar, en ik heb mijn Bachelor of Science in Accountancy behaald aan de Hogeschool Utrecht. De financiële sector was niet voor mij, dus 2 maart ben ik begonnen als IT trainee bij Qquest in Utrecht. Ik heb meer dan genoeg spaargeld om de borg en dergelijke te betalen, en sinds maart heb ik dus vast loon. Momenteel woon ik nog bij mijn ouders. Het is dus hoog tijd om een plek voor mezelf te vinden. Eerder heb ik een jaar in Tilburg op kamers gewoond, omdat ik daar toen studeerde. Mijn vrienden omschrijven mij als rustig, betrouwbaar en zelfstandig. Doordeweeks kijk ik graag films, doe ik aan fitness en voetbal ik bij DVSU (Lunetten). Verder heb ik geen huisdieren en rook ik niet. Mijn salaris is €2765 per maand (inclusief vakantiegeld). Goedendag, Ik ben deeltijd PhD-student aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, bij de faculteit filosofie. Ik heb een dubbele nationaliteit, Duits en Zuid-Afrikaans, en woon al ongeveer twee jaar in Gouda (Zuid-Holland). Daarvoor heb ik in Brussel (ongeveer 7 jaar) en in Berlijn (ongeveer 1,5 jaar) gestudeerd en gewerkt. Gouda bevalt me goed, het was perfect om mijn proefschrift te schrijven, maar de verhuurder verkoopt het huis en ik moet dus vóór augustus van dit jaar verhuizen. I like to have meaningful conversations, and enjoy the occasional social event. Overall, however, I prefer a quieter peaceful environment. Currently I’m working on ‘The End of History’ hypothesis, and the ‘Dialectic of Enlightenment’. Would be happy to send a link to a book I published. Please feel free to ask any questions. Hey, afgelopen september ben ik begonnen aan de opleiding fysiotherapie hier in enschede. Ik woon hier nu ook, alleen ben ik momenteel opzoek naar een iets gezelliger en levendiger huis met leuke mensen. Iets over mezelf is dat ik hou van sport (zit net bij de triathlon studenten sportvereniging hier), afspreken met vriendinnen en spelletjes spelen. Ook ben ik vaak wel in voor een drankje:)
