Hi, I'm Dominik. In June I was admitted to study Computer Science at Saxion University and started organizing my new life as a first year student in Enschede looking for accommodation. I come from a multicultural family - my mother is of Slovak origin and my father is of Colombian origin, so I have both nationalities and I have applied in Saxion University with my Slovak nationality, although I currently reside with my family in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. I am 17 years old and I have just finished my secondary school in Bogota, but very soon I will turn 18 and I consider myself mature enough to move away from my family and embark on a new path at Saxion University. In my multicultural family I have learned since I was little to travel a lot and enjoy adventures of all kinds. From a very young age I have started racing swimming training and today I am the performance swimmer affiliated with the Swimming Federation of Colombia and also of Slovakia. I hope to continue with this hobby also in Holland, since I like sports in general. Outside of sports, perhaps like most young people of my age, I like music and video games. I come from very far away (Colombia) and I have faith that living this way I will be able to adapt much easier to my new life and make lasting friendships with mutual support. Being an athlete since I was little, I am used to sharing with my peers and providing support when required, I am a friendly and social person. Coming from a multicultural family I think I was raised to be respectful and open-minded. Furthermore, Colombian culture is a very friendly, happy and pleasant culture like most South American cultures.

My name is Amir, I am half Moroccan, half German and grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. I am studying Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics at UvA and am now moving into my second year. Next to my studies, I work at a boutique hotel on Leidsegracht and am part of a student-led interviewing platform. When Im home, which doesnt happen too often these days, I like to read and relax mostly. I enjoy sharing music as well going to concerts or events of all kinds - from the Matthäus Passion at the Concertgebouw to the Bimhuis jazz club on Tuesdays with my friends or concerts at Paradiso. I also enjoy cooking (although that skill is still very much in development) and I ocassionally supplied my previous floormates with pancakes or some good soup.

Na mijn afstuderen wil ik meteen fulltime aan de slag bij een accountantskantoor of administratiekantoor. Dit geeft mij niet alleen een mooie uitdaging, maar biedt u als verhuurder ook de zekerheid van een stabiel en vast inkomen. De keuze voor Hilversum is voor mij heel bewust. Ik houd van de gezelligheid en de dynamiek van de stad, maar waardeer ook de centrale ligging. Het is voor mij de perfecte uitvalsbasis om snel op mijn werk te zijn of vrienden te bezoeken. In het dagelijks leven ben ik een rustige, volwassen en sociale jongen. Ik vind het heerlijk om mijn eigen gang te gaan, maar ik draag ook graag mijn steentje bij aan een fijn leefklimaat in huis. Een schoon en opgeruimd huis vind ik erg belangrijk. Ik ben dan ook gewend om netjes met spullen om te gaan en pas me moeiteloos aan aan een schoonmaakrooster of gezamenlijke huisregels.Ik hoop dat dit verhaal u aanspreekt en ik maak graag kennis met u tijdens een bezichtiging.
