Hello! I am a prospective student at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen starting September, and I'm looking for a room to rent for the duration of my studies. I will be studying international relations, which is a subject I'm very passionate about! To pursue this, I am looking for accomodation starting this summer or fall. I've lived in flatshares for most of my previous studies, so I'm well-accustomed to living with others! I've also lived in a lot of different countries before - Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, India and Japan for example. I love getting to know new countries, new people and overall, cultural exchange and openness are very important to me when living abroad, especially towards the host country. As a roommate, I value exchange, respect and cleanliness in my sleeping area. I believe communication on how to live together comfortably is key. Is there a cleaning plan, or not? Do we value spending time together, or more of a private living arrangement? Beyond that, I have a dust allergy, so I keep my room very clean. Financially, I have always been a very reliable tenant. From September onwards I will study "Social Challenges, Policies, and Interventions" in Utrecht and after a few years in Nijmegen I am now ready to make a new city my home. Besides my studies I love to be in nature, work on creative projects like knitting or sewing, cook, play Volleyball, and spend time with my friends. From my time studying in Nijmegen I already have lots of experience living with other people and like to think that I am a clean, open-minded and uncomplicated roommate to live with. While I don't speak Dutch fluently yet, I understand it almost fluently and am also doing a course to further learn the language! For my new home I would prefer to live with roommates that also like to spend time together every now and then but I also understand that this is not always possible, which is okay.
