Hello! I'm a long-time self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) recently relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. (Feb., 2026). I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, and am temporarily staying in Huizen. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with and open to Bussum and Almere, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have excellent rental history and personal references, and would be delighted to be the dream tenant you hope for, far beyond just the standard financial responsibility. I care for my space, have a green thumb, and love people, adore animals, art, golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! hoihoi, Ik ben Wietse, 19 jaar en kom uit Zieuwent. Een klein dorp waar je waarschijnlijk nog nooit van gehoord hebt en daarom zeg ik altijd dat het bij de Zwarte Cross ligt. Daar ben ik ook zeker jaarlijks te vinden. Ik zit in mijn eerste jaar van de studie technische geneeskunde en tot nu toe reis ik elke dag 1,5 uur met de bus heen en weer. Daar ben ik nu wel klaar mee dus ben ik opzoek naar een gezellig huis en mooie kamer. Even over mijzelf, ik werk bij DHL en vind mezelf een sportief persoon. Ik train op dit moment voor de marathon van Enschede en verder ga ik af en toe naar de sportschool om mijn goddelijke lichaam natuurlijk bij te houden ;). Op de uni zit ik bij StandaardLui waarbij ik wekelijks een potje voetbal speel en ik ben ook vaak bij de borrels te vinden. Ook zit ik in de eerstejaars commissie van Paradoks waarbij we leuke activiteiten organiseren voor de sjaarzen.

I am Marjane. I live in Lyon, France and I am preparing for a French/British Baccalaureate with biology and social and economic sciences as my main subjects. I want to study psychology because I’m interested in human behaviors. Later on, I want to mix psychology with cognitive sciences or move to Neuro-psychology. Psychology and biology are my main interests! Outside work I like climbing, volleyball and cycling. Climbing is very much part of our family culture, we often go on climbing holidays with my parents and my brother in the cliffs near Lyon or in the Alps. I cycle to college every day. I also play trumpet in a brass Orchestra. It’s quite fun and a good way to meet nice people. We moved to Lyon when I was 11. Before that we were living in Southampton, UK. It was very cosmopolitan, I grew up with kids from Italy, Latin America, India, Poland etc... This is why I am very excited to study in Leiden to experience this cultural diversity that I enjoyed so much as a kid. Being the eldest sibling in a family with two children, taking care of others has always been a pleasure. That is also why I take care of young children monthly with a scout non-profit organisation.
