Hi, my name is Paul and I'm moving to the Netherlands to pursue my Master's in Design for Interaction at TU Delft – a dream I've been working towards for a long time. I'm originally from Germany, studied and worked in Design in Weimar, and I'm someone who genuinely loves shared living. I've lived in shared apartments for 5 years, so I know what makes it work: mutual respect, clear boundaries, being there for each other, and keeping shared spaces clean and comfortable. Living together well is something I take seriously – and enjoy. Outside of studies I love cycling, hiking, sitting in cafés, and exploring new places. I'm looking forward to building a real home, not just a temporary stay. What I bring along: a great vinyl/CD collection, useful household appliances, and furniture for shared spaces if needed. Wat ik meeneem: een mooie cd-collectie, handige huishoudelijke apparaten en eventueel meubels voor de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes. Financieel sta ik er goed voor: ik heb spaargeld en ga naast mijn studie parttime werken, dus de huur wordt altijd op tijd betaald. My name is Sofia, I'm 25, originally from Slovakia and I've just started my first year of bachelor's in Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I'm currently based in Almere, however, I'm actively looking for a room closer to the university to cut down on commute expenses. Besides obviously being interested in psychology as I have chosen it as my programme of study, I'm into social science in general - history, sociology, learning languages and immersing in the unfamiliar are also my jam. I'm also an avid reader which is linked to the fact that I used to write one shots and short stories mainly towards the end of primary school and throughout high school (I haven't actually written anything that's not school-related in quite a long while but I definitely want to revert to it at some point). I am pretty respectful of other people's space and boundaries and pretty used to living in shared accommodation at this point - the place I live in now is my 5th shared housing. Therefore, cleaning after using common areas such as the kitchen and bathroom is something I do automatically without having to be reminded of or scolded for not doing it. I'm pretty introverted but I do have extraverted moments every now and then. I value privacy but I'm also definitely down for shared activities, cooking, watching TV or just chilling.
