Creatief bezig zijn is helemaal mijn ding; van websites bouwen tot andere projecten waar ik mijn technische én creatieve kant in kwijt kan. Sporten doe ik ook graag en ik probeer regelmatig iets nieuws uit, gewoon omdat het leuk is en afwisselend. Ik ben een rustige huisgenoot die graag haar eigen ding doet, maar die ook zeker in is voor gezellige avonden. Ik vind het fijn om spontaan samen te borrelen, te kletsen of een spelletje te doen. Ik woon nu nog in een studentenhuis met acht maar ik zoek een iets rustiger huis. Ik ben namelijk sinds september het werk bij Witteveen+Bos in Heerenveen/Groningen in de energietransitie. The next year will be my first year in Amsterdam, until now I could only study remotely due to an ongoing battle with cancer. I couldn't be more excited to be finally healthy and ready to follow my dreams and move to the Netherlands. I’m a fairly introverted person who enjoys his peace and privacy, but I also really value meaningful conversations and spending time with other people when it feels right. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, biking, and watching some tennis or ice hockey. My biggest passion, though, is travelling and discovering new places, cultures, and cuisines. I’m responsible, quiet, and respectful, I don’t smoke or drink, and really the only challenge you might face with me is my occasional questionable cooking attempts.

Hi, I'm Joshua (25). I graduated from my master's program in work and organizational psychology at Tilburg University. Now, I work full-time at FedEx as a Project Manager for strategic projects in the European Union. With a permanent contract, paying rent on time should not be a problem. I am currently based in Rotterdam West and need to move out because my lease is ending and there is no chance of extending. As a roommate, I have a lot of experience as I have shared multiple homes with many people in Russia, the Netherlands, India Italy, and Lebanon. Thus it goes without saying I can navigate the complexity of cross-cultural communication and can bond with my roommates from all across the world. I do understand that conflicts can still happen, but my educational background and experience allow me to be proficient in conflict management so that both parties are satisfied. As a person I am very open and sociable, I love to talk and meet new people! I am extremely open-minded and I value other's feedback/opinions. Additionally, I also love a clean environment and I always make it a point to clean up after myself, (e.g.I make sure to take some extra time to clean up after I cook so that the kitchen is clean for the next person to use it) because I respect my roommates and want to keep it clean for them to use. I am a very cooperative and understanding person who strives to be an asset to the household rather than a burden. Some of my interests are learning about new languages/cultures. I can speak 5ish languages, at the moment I am learning Dutch (B1-A2) and Spanish (A1). I love cooking food with people and having a chill evening with nice tunes /vibes and I love to party. Alternatively, I am always up for a drink and pleasant conversation. Moreover, I love to explore new places and create new experiences, I am spontaneously up for anything. Some of my other hobbies include going to the gym, and statistics (odd hobbies I know, but I use it to help all my friends with their stats questions and thesis), I love listening to almost every music genre/language as possible.
