At TU/e, I will be studying Mechanical Engineering, which has been my dream field for many years. I live a calm lifestyle focused on my studies and personal development. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, mountain biking, swimming, and cycling. I also play the drums in a music band, which is one of my biggest passions. In the past, I practiced judo and played basketball as well. Overall, I value a balanced, active, and respectful lifestyle. My studies begin in early September. However, I would prefer to start renting slightly earlier so that I can arrive in the Netherlands in advance and complete important preparations such as furnishing the room, university and municipality registration, and arranging health insurance. My intention is to stay long-term — ideally for 1 to 2 years — and build a stable living environment during my studies, of course fully respecting your rental conditions. During my studies, I will be fully financially supported by my family. Our family’s average monthly income is approximately €5,000, ensuring stable and reliable financial support throughout my stay. Goedendag, Ik ben deeltijd PhD-student aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, bij de faculteit filosofie. Ik heb een dubbele nationaliteit, Duits en Zuid-Afrikaans, en woon al ongeveer twee jaar in Gouda (Zuid-Holland). Daarvoor heb ik in Brussel (ongeveer 7 jaar) en in Berlijn (ongeveer 1,5 jaar) gestudeerd en gewerkt. Gouda bevalt me goed, het was perfect om mijn proefschrift te schrijven, maar de verhuurder verkoopt het huis en ik moet dus vóór augustus van dit jaar verhuizen. I like to have meaningful conversations, and enjoy the occasional social event. Overall, however, I prefer a quieter peaceful environment.
