Hey! I'm 25 years old and currently in my final year of Business Administration at the University of Amsterdam. The next year will be my first year in Amsterdam, until now I could only study remotely due to an ongoing battle with cancer. I couldn't be more excited to be finally healthy and ready to follow my dreams and move to the Netherlands. I’m a fairly introverted person who enjoys his peace and privacy, but I also really value meaningful conversations and spending time with other people when it feels right. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, biking, and watching some tennis or ice hockey. My biggest passion, though, is travelling and discovering new places, cultures, and cuisines. I’m responsible, quiet, and respectful, I don’t smoke or drink, and really the only challenge you might face with me is my occasional questionable cooking attempts.

I am an urban designer specialising in the conservation of cultural heritage. I have a background in urban design and architecture, with degrees from Bilkent University (undergraduate), the Dessau Institute of Architecture (DIA) in Germany (masters), and a PhD from METU. My research focuses on historic public spaces and multi-layered towns, and I have been fortunate to work on various cultural heritage projects in Ankara. Currently, I teach at Başkent University, where I guide undergraduate and graduate students in urban design and conservation. I joined TU Delft as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment and in June, 2025, for a one-year stay. I will be living alone during my studies in TU Delft, and I am hoping to find a home nearby. Outside of my academic work, I enjoy exploring historic cities and, after a long break due to a car accident, I’ve recently returned to playing tennis—a passion that brings me a lot of joy.
