Hey, Marius here! Just moved to Amsterdam a few weeks ago to work at Flying Pig Downtown and I'm looking for permanent accomodation. I've been working or volunteering in hostels for a while, so I became very welcoming and friendly. My favourite activity with my friends or guests? Playing Minecraft until late and joking around. Ever since I arrived here I realized I really like cycling around (very recreationally, you won't find me with the skinny cyclist suit yet). When it comes to how I live, I've often been complimented on how clean I keep my room (to the point where even my mom was proud, big achievement). I also don't smoke or have pets. I am a master's student at Vrije University. I'm an easygoing and sociable person who enjoys connecting with people around me. Mijn ouders hebben “ons” ouderlijk huis verkocht en vertrekken naar het buitenland, dus ik ben nu echt op mijzelf toegewezen en ben dringend op zoek naar een nieuwe plek die ik thuis kan noemen. 😄 Ik verdien zelf €1200,- per maand en mijn ouders hebben €150.000 garant staan met verkoop van het huis.

Hi! My name is Àlvar, I'm 26 years old and I'm from Barcelona, Spain. This September I'll be moving to Groningen to start the MSc in Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment at the University of Groningen. Before this, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology. I also worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where I participated in drug discovery research for retinal degenerative diseases. Besides my research experience, I have also worked in Regulatory Affairs, which has helped me become organised, responsible and used to working in professional environments. I'm looking for a place where everyone feels comfortable, respects each other's space and enjoys a friendly atmosphere. I'm a tidy, quiet and considerate person. I don't smoke, I don't have pets and I'm not someone who throws parties at home, although I do enjoy having dinner, watching a movie or sharing a drink with housemates from time to time. Outside university I enjoy going to the gym, hiking, cycling and discovering new places. Ik heb de afgelopen tien jaar op atletiek gezeten, maar ben daar inmiddels mee gestopt om iets nieuws te zoeken. Ik zit nu vooral te kijken naar boulderen en volleybal. Ik rook ook niet en drink (nog) niet. Ik ben iemand die het best gezellig vindt om een keer een uitstapje te doen naar de stad of een andere activiteit zoals sinterklaas of kerstdiner. Tegelijkertijd heb ik soms ook behoefte aan wat tijd voor mezelf om even op mijn kamer te gamen of gewoon niks te doen. Ik zoek hierbij dus vooral naar een combinatie van de twee, waarbij er dus altijd tijd is voor een praatje bij het ontbijt of een colaatje in de avond en ook ruimte om jezelf even terug te trekken. Ik hou erg van actieve vakanties, waarbij ik bijvoorbeeld ga wandelen in de bergen of skiën. Ik ben geen strandmens, je zult mij nooit bruin zien of bruin zien worden.
