Hi, I'm Keshini. I'm from Mauritius and I moved to Utrecht in August 2025 to pursue a BSc in Economics and Business Economics at Utrecht University. I have been living here for 7 months now, and I've been loving it since! I'm very grateful for my parents to be financially helping me with tuition fees, living expenses as well as rent so I don't need to worry about money, but I'm also working a part time job to boost my CV and gain more experience in general. I have also been very active in the student life at Utrecht University ever since I moved here. I've volunteered as a Peer Leader for the university's welcome week in August, and I'm the Chair of the Wellbeing Committee of ECU'92 at Utrecht University. I'm responsible for leading the committee and organising events and dividing the tasks among members. So far, we've organised several events such as a karaoke night, a Chess Tournament and also a Hiking activity and many more to come! I'm also really into fitness; I go to the gym at least twice a week and do yoga or pilates at home sometimes. I love reading and travelling as well, especially solo travelling. I started travelling in 2025 and I've been to 6 countries so far and I've also visited a few cities in the Netherlands, including Amsterdam, Maastricht and Leiden. I love doing anything that gets me out of my comfort zone.

Ik ben Julian, 17 jaar en aankomend student technische natuurkunde aan de UT. Bij mooi weer ben ik in mijn vrije tijd vaak te vinden op een zweefvliegveld bij mij in de buurt. I currently work at Poke Perfect in the city, which I really enjoy. Both at work and while playing tennis I’m often surrounded by Dutch people, so I’ve been trying to learn Dutch step by step and Duolingo is also reminding me everyday🤪. For me, a good balance in a shared apartment is really important: having time and space for yourself, but also enjoying spontaneous chats in the kitchen, movie nights, cooking together or just having a funny evening together. Cleanliness is also something that’s important to me. I like keeping shared spaces tidy and making sure everyone feels comfortable in the house. Sinds ik weer in Nederland woon, vind ik het leuk om in de weekenden stedentrips te maken. Ik ben georganiseerd en gefocust op mijn studie: ik ga naar mijn colleges en practica en breng heel wat uurtjes in de bibliotheek door. Tegelijkertijd houd ik een ​​goede balans door tijd voor mijn vrienden te maken, de stad te verkennen en 's ochtends hard te lopen.
