I'm flexible with the rental period — I'm equally happy with a shorter contract (6 months) or a longer-term place, whatever works best for you. A bit about me: I'm tidy, easy-going and sociable. I get along well with housemates and enjoy shared moments, but I'm also respectful and low-drama to live with. I keep common areas clean and I'm generally an easy person to share a home with. In my free time I'm into sports, music and flims. On the practical side: my rent is backed by my parents as guarantors, so there's a reliable financial guarantee and payments won't be an issue. I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.

Hey, my name is Tadas, I’m 18 and originally from Lithuania. I’ll be moving to Eindhoven to start electrical engineering at TU/e this September, after finishing high school at an international school in Athens. I've lived in an international setting my whole life, so I'm always excited to meet new people and explore different cultures. I’m organised, responsible, and a tidy person. I always take good care of the place I live in (you can ask my mum about that). I don’t smoke and I don’t have any pets. My rent and living expenses will be fully supported by my parents, and we can provide financial documentation if needed. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, spending time outdoors, cooking and meeting up with friends. I’m sociable, but also independent and can respect other people's personal time.
