Hello! I’m Sudam, 32, a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam. Originally from Sri Lanka, I’ve lived in the Netherlands since 2021 after spending a few years in Germany. I would describe myself as a quiet, clean, and friendly person. I take pride in keeping my living space tidy and respecting others’ privacy. In my free time, I enjoy running and hiking, reading a good book or watching a movie, and volunteering with Serve the City Amsterdam (STC) to help clean up parks around the city. I don’t smoke and I don’t have any pets. I’m financially stable (proof available) and pay rent on time. I’m looking for a nice, comfortable room in or near Amsterdam (budget up to €1,000) where I can register with the municipality. Ideally, I’d like to move in around November or December 2025 and stay for about a year (perhaps longer, as I’ll be in Amsterdam for my research). I’m easy to find in the kitchen cooking(vegetarian) and cooking together is fun. I don tsmoke, i don't drink alcohol and hardly ever use other substances. I've mostly lived with others and love organising small gatherings(concerts, attentive silent meeting). I'm also part of the Couchsurfing community and like hosting awesome people from around the world. In my downtime, you'll find me comedy improv, doing partner acrobatics, contact impro and balfolk dances. I also enjoy hitting up small festivals, so I'm not home too often. For one year now, I have worked as a social assistant with a foundation helping EU citizens facing homelessness . We work with vulnerable people who struggle with their addictions, job searching and many other challenges. Meanwhile I keep trying to learn how to massage! Hallo, Ik ben Jing Mei (22 jaar) en studeer aan de HAN in Nijmegen.Hier voor heb ik al twee jaar op mijzelf gewoond. Dus de benodigde ervaring is aanwezig. Het liefst zoek ik per september of eerder een (semi) studio in omgeving Arnhem - Nijmegen. Ik ben een sociaal persoon, maar ben ook erg gesteld op mijn rust. Ik ga netjes en zorgvuldig om met de woonplek, betaal de huur ook altijd op tijd en verder nooit problemen veroorzaakt of klachten gehad van vorige huurbazen. Zelf ga ik ook niet elke week feesten, rook niet en drink bijna nooit. Op de vroege ochtenden vind ik het heerlijk om mijn dag te beginnen in de sportschool. Verder vind ik het heel erg ontspannend om te koken of te bakken, lezen, wandelingen maken en schrijven. Ik werk bij de Albert Heijn in Oosterbeek en heb hier een vast contract, dus een stabiel inkomen is aanwezig. Hierdoor kan ik ook mijn werkplek makkelijk verplaatsen naar Nijmegen als ik hier een mooi aanbod vindt. Recentelijke loonstroken kan ik aantonen en indien het nodig is kan een van mijn ouders garantstaan, dit heb ik ook bij mijn vorige woonruimtes gedaan voor extra garantie, maar nog nooit nodig gehad. Ik zoek een nieuwe woonplek die ik helemaal mijn eigen plekje kan maken! Verder ben ik van plan om voor een langere periode te huren. Met vriendelijke groet, Jing Mei
