Ik ben Mara, 22 jaar en woon momenteel in Nijmegen. Momenteel die doe ik een tussenjaar na een Bachelor Psychologie. Tijdens mijn studententijd stond ik altijd open voor contact met medestudenten. Zo nam ik deel aan een studentenvereniging gericht op theater en deed ik mee aan verschillende cursussen in sport zoals badminton en boksen. Met vrienden vind ik het erg leuk goede gesprekken te voeren, te wandelen en iets te drinken in een café. Zelf sport ik graag, houd ik van tekenen, lezen en series en films kijken. Ook werk ik al anderhalf jaar bij een mentale support lijn waarbij ik emotionele ondersteuning bied aan jongvolwassenen. Tijdens mijn tussenjaar ben ik gaan reizen door verschillende landen in Europa en doe ik vrijwilligerswerk waarbij ik in contact kom met mensen van verschillende religies en culturen. Zo werk ik werkte ik in een boeddhistisch centrum en een vluchtelingenkamp. Dit sluit ook aan bij de master die ik wil gaan doen in Groningen; Applied Social Psychology. Daarnaast heb ik ook allerlei verschillende sporten uitgeprobeerd zoals zeilen, go karting en duiken. Hello :-) I'm from Poland, but I lived in the UK for two years. Now, I'm in Groningen, studying physics and math at RUG. It's my second year. People tell me I'm pretty chill and super organized. I really love art and music. Drawing is something I find easy, and I play the piano. Oh, and origami! I've gotten really good at it :-) But, what I want to do in the future is science. I love talking about all sorts of things and hearing what other people think. And I've done a lot of volunteering, which has been really cool. I'm pretty independent, and I get really excited about things that interest me. But I always try to be respectful of what other people think. And if there's a science project, I'm usually in! Helping people comes naturally to me, but I try not to be bossy about it. Right now I'm looking for a room for my third year of studies, or maybe even longer! Pola :-)
