In September I'm moving to The Hague to start a one-year master's in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University, and I'm looking for a room I can settle into for the whole duration of my studies, not just somewhere to sleep between lectures. The thing I care about most in a shared home is trust, simply being someone you can rely on, whatever kind of day it's been. I'm quiet and easy to live with, but sociable too, I genuinely enjoy cooking, a shared meal or a beer in the evening, and I can just as happily have a calm night in. It really depends on the mood, I read the room and fit in. I like a home that actually works, where the kitchen gets used, where I do my share without being asked, and where I'll fix a small thing rather than let it sit. I'm tidy, low-drama, and I've never minded picking up a little slack for people I live with. Alongside my studies I intend to work as well, so my days are structured and my rhythm fits a working household. Outside of that I'm into martial arts and lifting, hiking, swimming, chess, and making a bit of music and video. If this sounds like your kind of housemate, I'd love to hear from you. Hi! I’m Melike, a recent Computer Engineering graduate from Turkey, Istanbul. I’ll be moving to Enschede in September 15 for a 6-month Erasmus+ internship till March 14 at the University of Twente. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, roller skating and, especially, reading books. I’m an easy-going and considerate person, and I really enjoy spending time with the people around me. I also love cooking for the people I care about, so I’d be happy to occasionally cook and share a meal together. During the week, I’ll mostly be at my internship, but whenever I’m free, I’m always up for having a chat, watching something together, grabbing a drink or simply spending some time together at home.
