I am (nearly) 30, looking for a quiet place to live in Amsterdam. After 3 years of living in Amsterdam, working in specialty coffee, wine bars, and restaurants, I have a life and rhythm filled with friends, volunteering at a farm, and a buddhist community. Farming work is filling more and more of my time, and I hope to find a job in the Amsterdam area as a gardener or vegetable farmer. My income is around €3k per month. Ik leer Nederlands nog, dus ik zou graag met u in Nederlands pratten. Maar soms heb ik tijd nodig iets te begrijpen.

Hoi! Ik ben Daniel (27), oorspronkelijk uit Duitsland, en vanaf oktober begin ik als fulltime onderzoeksmedewerker aan de TU Delft, waar ik onderzoek doe binnen de sociologie van klimaatfinanciering. Mijn contract is voor één jaar, maar het kan uitgroeien tot een promotietraject. Voor nu kijk ik vooral of een carrière in de wetenschap bij mij past. Ik heb net mijn studie in Londen afgerond en kijk er erg naar uit om aan mijn eerste "echte" baan te beginnen. Een kleine waarschuwing: ik spreek nog geen Nederlands (alleen Duits, Engels en een beetje Spaans), maar ik ben zeker van plan om het te leren. Ik ben een ontspannen en gezellige huisgenoot, kook graag (meestal vegetarisch) en ben makkelijk om mee samen te wonen. Ik woon al jaren in gedeelde huizen en vind dat nog steeds erg leuk. Of het huis nu heel sociaal is of juist wat rustiger, allebei is prima – zolang we niet alleen als vreemden langs elkaar heen leven. In mijn vrije tijd sport ik graag, vooral rugby, ben ik graag buiten, speel ik piano en drink ik af en toe graag een biertje of iets anders gezelligs. Samen eten lijkt me ook leuk. I’ve lived in shared flats for many years and genuinely enjoy it. Whether the flat is more social or more on the quiet side, I’m happy with both - as long as we are not just co-existing as strangers. In my free time, I like doing sports, especially rugby, being outdoors, playing the piano, and grabbing the occasional cold drink. Shared meals are definitely an option as well.
