Hi everyone! I’m Irene, Italian, originally from Bergamo but living in Perugia for the past two years. I’m a (forensic) psychologist, now doing my PhD in Gender Studies, but my research and daily work in Perugia are still rooted in psychology. From October I’ll be moving to Tilburg for six months for my visiting research period at Tilburg University – and that’s why I’m looking for a place to stay! Ideally, I’d love to find something in Tilburg, but I’m also open to nearby areas if they’re well connected by train. I’ve lived in Maastricht before, where I completed my MSc in Forensic Psychology, and then spent about a year in Rotterdam – probably the Dutch city I love the most, although I honestly consider the Netherlands as a whole my second home. Who knows, maybe I’ll be back living here for good once I finish my PhD in Italy! As for me: people say I’m nice and easy-going :) I enjoy talking and listening to other people’s stories and just having a good chat. At the same time, I also like quality time on my own – listening to music, reading, watching series, or enjoying the outdoors. I love cycling (gravel is my favorite!), running, and swimming. I also adore long walks in nature, and I never miss a chance to take pictures of flowers, the sky, or anything that catches my eye. Hoi! Mijn naam is Daphne (25 jaar, vrouw) en ik ben op zoek naar een nieuwe woonplek voor de lange termijn. Sinds september 2025 ben ik met mijn eerste baan gestart als onderzoekstechnicus/onderzoeker bij de microbiologie afdeling aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, echter woon ik nu nog in mijn studentenstad Wageningen wat een reistijd van (minimaal, als het OV meezit) 4 uur per dag met zich meebrengt om op mijn werk en thuis te geraken. Daarnaast zal ik in juli 2026 mijn huidige woning uitgezet worden, waardoor ik op zoek ben naar een nieuwe woning idealiter een stukje dichter bij mijn werk :). Ik ga zorgvuldig om met mijn woonruimte en vind het belangrijk dat een woning schoon en netjes blijft. Ik heb een vast werkritme en ben doordeweeks vooral gericht op werk en ontspanning thuis. In het weekend vind ik het gezellig om af en toe iets te ondernemen met vrienden, maar thuis hecht ik vooral aan rust en ontspanning. In mijn vrije tijd lees ik graag, ben ik creatief bezig (haken, breien, af en toe schilderen, bakken en koken) en breng ik graag tijd buiten door.
