hello my name is Lauri, I am 19 years old and I am from Slovakia. In September I will be starting my studies at Radboud University in Nijmegen. I'll be studying English language and culture and I plan to focus on my studies while I explore my surroundings and meet new people, I also have working experience and plan on working part-time besides my studies. In my free time I really enjoy photography, design, staying in and watching movies, shows, or reading books. I enjoy social outings but I also appreciate some quiet time for myself. I am looking for a comfortable room where I can settle down for at least a few months (If more is possible that is great, but if not that is okay too) until I get to know the city and people around me. I do not smoke and I do not have any pets either. For the past four years, since I was 15, I was attending a Secondary vocational school in Slovakia and because of that I have been living in a dormitory most of the time. Thanks to this I am already used to sharing bathrooms, kitchens or livingrooms with other people. I am respectful of others and their personal space. I am a tidy considerate person and enjoy sorting through/ cleaning my stuff as some sort of outlet. Very excited for this chapter of my life and making new friends wheter it is at school or my roommates/housemates. Hi everyone! My name is Krzysztof, I'm 19 years old and I'm moving from Poland to Nijmegen this August to start my Bachelor’s in Artificial Intelligence at Radboud University. I’m a calm, organized person who truly values his alone time and privacy to recharge, clear my head, and focus on my studies. I'm definitely not a non-stop party animal, but I do enjoy a good balance! Once every while, I love to head out for a casual weekend walk around town, grab a kebab, or share a beer and a good laugh with friends/housemates. In my free time, I’m a big tech enthusiast (currently into low-level programming in Rust) and a passionate long-distance cyclist. Back in Poland, I regularly did 50-70 km trips, and my dream is to bike all the way from Nijmegen to Amsterdam or The Hague someday. As for my music and media taste... let's just say it's a beautiful chaos. My playlist goes from 80s and 2000s rock (The Police, REM, TOTO, Nickelback) through metal (Linkin Park, Bad Omens) straight to 2010s pop (Rihanna, One Direction), K-pop, and even Disney's soundtracks. I'm also always down for a good TV series or K-drama. I am a non-smoker, have no pets, and I always keep my shared spaces clean and tidy. Hey, Marius here! Just moved to Amsterdam a few weeks ago to work at Flying Pig Downtown and I'm looking for permanent accomodation. I've been working or volunteering in hostels for a while, so I became very welcoming and friendly. My favourite activity with my friends or guests? Playing Minecraft until late and joking around. Ever since I arrived here I realized I really like cycling around (very recreationally, you won't find me with the skinny cyclist suit yet). When it comes to how I live, I've often been complimented on how clean I keep my room (to the point where even my mom was proud, big achievement). I also don't smoke or have pets.
