Hi, I'm Dominik. In June I was admitted to study Computer Science at Saxion University and started organizing my new life as a first year student in Enschede looking for accommodation. I come from a multicultural family - my mother is of Slovak origin and my father is of Colombian origin, so I have both nationalities and I have applied in Saxion University with my Slovak nationality, although I currently reside with my family in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. I am 17 years old and I have just finished my secondary school in Bogota, but very soon I will turn 18 and I consider myself mature enough to move away from my family and embark on a new path at Saxion University. In my multicultural family I have learned since I was little to travel a lot and enjoy adventures of all kinds. From a very young age I have started racing swimming training and today I am the performance swimmer affiliated with the Swimming Federation of Colombia and also of Slovakia. I hope to continue with this hobby also in Holland, since I like sports in general. Outside of sports, perhaps like most young people of my age, I like music and video games. I come from very far away (Colombia) and I have faith that living this way I will be able to adapt much easier to my new life and make lasting friendships with mutual support. Hello! I'm Rúben and I am from Portugal. I'm a pianist and a newcomer to Maastricht. My musical interests vary a lot but I have a particular deep passion for both contemporary music and video game soundtracks. I am part of a quite active quartet and so most of the time I am busy scheduling concerts and rehearsals for us. My hobbies are quite minimal: reading, writing a bit, and playing on the Switch. At least twice a week I also like to go out running, truly only so I can say I do some sport. Now about behaviour, although I am quite social I am a very quiet person, this means that I will always try to the little noise with others around (however, just to be clear, if left alone, I may just leave music a bit loud...). I also like to schedule my time on the kitchen, I usually cook for the next two to three days so I'll be taking at least 1h30/2h of the kitchen's at least twice or thrice a week.
