My friend Kartik and I are looking for a clean and comfortable apartment from 1 September 2026, preferably near Barendrecht station, Ridderkerk or Rotterdam-Zuid. We are looking for a property (apartment/studio) with two separate bedrooms, with a combined rental budget of approximately €1,500–€1,850 per month. We are both quiet, tidy, non-smoking and responsible tenants. As we work full-time during weekdays, we appreciate a peaceful home environment and will take good care of the apartment. We respect neighbours and house rules and always pay rent on time. We can provide employment contracts, proof of income, identification documents and, where required, a guarantor. We are looking for a long-term home where both tenants can officially register at the address.

Voor ons zijn twee aparte slaapkamers, een rustige woonomgeving en een goede bereikbaarheid van Nijkerk veel belangrijker. Inschrijving op het adres voor beide personen moet mogelijk zijn. Hoi! Ik ben Daniel (27), oorspronkelijk uit Duitsland, en vanaf oktober begin ik als fulltime onderzoeksmedewerker aan de TU Delft, waar ik onderzoek doe binnen de sociologie van klimaatfinanciering. Mijn contract is voor één jaar, maar het kan uitgroeien tot een promotietraject. Voor nu kijk ik vooral of een carrière in de wetenschap bij mij past. Ik heb net mijn studie in Londen afgerond en kijk er erg naar uit om aan mijn eerste "echte" baan te beginnen. Een kleine waarschuwing: ik spreek nog geen Nederlands (alleen Duits, Engels en een beetje Spaans), maar ik ben zeker van plan om het te leren. Ik ben een ontspannen en gezellige huisgenoot, kook graag (meestal vegetarisch) en ben makkelijk om mee samen te wonen. Ik woon al jaren in gedeelde huizen en vind dat nog steeds erg leuk. My contract is for one year, but it could turn into a PhD. For now, I am just testing the waters of trying to be a scientist. I’ve just finished my studies in London, and I’m really excited to begin my first “real” job. A small heads-up: I don’t speak Dutch yet (only German, English and Spanish-ish), but learning it is the plan. I’m easygoing, love to cook (mostly veggie) and generally uncomplicated to live with. I’ve lived in shared flats for many years and genuinely enjoy it. Whether the flat is more social or more on the quiet side, I’m happy with both - as long as we are not just co-existing as strangers.
