I'm from the Netherlands but I've lived across borders multiple times, too. Most recently I've been living in The Hague with mixed and international roommates for six years. What's most important to me in being roommates is good communication and a friendly and respectful atmosphere. I've also lived across borders a few times for internships, so I'm also fine in an English-speaking environment.
