Hello! My name is Balázs Böjthy, I’m a 23-year-old Hungarian student, and I am currently studying Political Science at the UvA. I expect to graduate in July of next year, so I would be interested in renting the room at least until the 31st of June 2026. I have been living in Leiden for the past 2 years, but I broke up with my partner and therefore I am looking to move away as soon as possible. Preferably to a cozy room in Amsterdam or the surrounding area. A bit about me: I am finishing my Political Science bachelor this semester, but I decided to extend my studies and do an Economics related minor, which takes 1 year to complete. Aside from studying, I work in a traditional Dutch Cheese store (I can always bring some nice cheeses for you). I am also part of a the student association called AEGEE. I’ve also been volunteering at an NGO specialized in the prevention of labor exploitation of immigrant workers called Fairwork. I’m a quiet, calm, and tidy person who has lived in a small town called Sopron in Hungary most of his life and has been living in the Netherlands for the past two years already. I would like to move to Amsterdam or at least closer to the city. This is because I think it is an amazing place, and my job and my school are there. I'm a non-smoker, have no pets, I pay the rent on time, I have a stable job and income, and I always respect any set rules. Aside from what I mentioned before, I enjoy watching movies, taking care of plants, hiking, biking and traveling in my free time. Hello! My name is Liadha (pronounced Lia), I am a 31 year old Irish female who is looking for a room in a place shared with like-minded people. I’m new to Amsterdam but not new to living abroad; I spent the last 6 years in Toronto, Canada, which I loved! I work in digital marketing and have a job in this field in Amsterdam, which is located in Amsterdam Zuid. I rented an apartment by myself for the past 3 years, so am used to managing the responsibilities of being a tenant, and can provide a great reference from the landlord. Prior to this, I lived in shared accommodation from the age of 17 and grew up with 4 sisters, so I am very much accustomed to sharing a living space! I like to work out or go for a run in the mornings, then generally work 9-5. I keep weekday evenings pretty chill, generally just cooking dinner and watching TV, but I like to meet friends for food or drinks later in the week and on weekends. I love trying new bars and restaurants so am excited to explore Amsterdam! I don’t know a lot of people in Amsterdam yet so am hoping to hang out with my new roommate(s) from time to time but I’m also totally fine with it if they like to keep to themselves. I love TV//film, good food, fashion, hiking, pilates, reading, travelling… if it sounds like a good fit, I’d love to arrange a viewing and meet properly :)
