Greetings! I am 21 year old student from Chennai, India, who recently graduated from the University of Essex in the UK with a Class I honors in BSc Politics and International Relations. I am moving to the Netherlands to pursue an Advanced Masters in International Relations and Diplomacy in Leiden University's Den Haag campus. My flight is scheduled to reached Netherlands 17th Morning. So I am looking forward to rent a room from either 15th or 16th or even the day I land. I am a non-smoker, neat, tidy and organised person as I have lived abroad in the past as well as studied briefly in boarding school. I am quite amicable with everyone as I tend to have friends from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Amongst other things, I was a head of student media and film and public speaking society executive at the University of Essex. I also collaborated with the Essex County Council, which is a major local government body in the United Kingdom for my final year dissertation. My findings helped further mitigate the effects of mis/disinformation on ethnic minorities as well as preserve social cohesion.

I'll start the program on next mid August, just to take part also to the Introductory Days for incoming students, and I'll finish by the end of January. I'm looking for an accomodation to stay during these 6 months and I do not need anything fancy or particular. My basic requirement is a room furnished with a mattress and a desk to study, which are the only things that I'm not able to carry with me from Italy. In general, I'm looking for a room characterized as follows: well kept and clean place, room as silent as possible to let me focus better while studying, university easily reachable by bike or by public transport, and not too many roommates (but I can relax on this last one). I also like social life, but I generally give more importance to my studies. I enjoy socializing with roommates, such as through talking about the culture in different countries, playing cardgames or videogames together, or cooking. Yet, when it comes to going outside too often (and coming back late), hosting unknown friends or having parties at home, this just stresses me a lot, especially next to the exam sessions.
