Hello, I'm Emilio. I’m 22 years old and will be 23 in May 2026. I was born and raised in Napa, California but have lived in Denver, Colorado for the past 2 years. I have three citizenships, American, Italian and Canadian. I speak English and some Italian, but no Dutch (yet!). I plan on settling into my new home in Amsterdam in June 2026, and will work part-time after getting settled in. I’m willing to rent sooner for the right home to avoid housing chaos. I do have savings and allocate my financial resources responsibly. I enjoy playing video games such as Cities: Skylines, and going to many EDM shows. I’m social but not a big partier. I love travelling and have visited my family in Italy since I was 6 months old. I’m very passionate about non-car centric city planning, which is why I’m going to Amsterdam to study it since I believe they have the best cities in the world. I hope to take that knowledge of the Netherlands and bring it back to the USA to help improve our car-centric cities here. I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s at University of Amsterdam to study Human Geography and Planning, eventually gaining a Masters in a related field. In terms of housing, my preference would be in Amsterdam within a reasonable commute to the Roeterseiland campus, but understand I may need to look further out. I would prefer to live in a private studio, but I’m also open to shared housing. In Denver, I’ve lived with three various other roommates the whole time, and all of us have gotten along very well. I’m very clean and quite quiet, though I do like socializing with my roommates when we’re able to. Having lived with roommates the past 2 years, I’m more than happy to share a space with others and I keep common areas very tidy. I’m excited to meet people from around the world and experience my next chapter.

Hey, Marius here! Just moved to Amsterdam a few weeks ago to work at Flying Pig Downtown and I'm looking for permanent accomodation. I've been working or volunteering in hostels for a while, so I became very welcoming and friendly. My favourite activity with my friends or guests? Playing Minecraft until late and joking around. Ever since I arrived here I realized I really like cycling around (very recreationally, you won't find me with the skinny cyclist suit yet). When it comes to how I live, I've often been complimented on how clean I keep my room (to the point where even my mom was proud, big achievement). I also don't smoke or have pets. Vorig schooljaar onderhuurde ik van mijn nicht in Rotterdam en nu dat bijna over is ben ik opzoek naar een plekje die ik zelf kan huren. Naast studeren, werk ik bij pizzeria de Buffel in Rotterdam-west. In mijn vrije tijd sport ik graag bij de klimmuur, teken ik veel en met mijn vrienden geniet ik van lekker eten en live muziek. Als ik niet werk, ga ik in het weekend vaak naar Haarlem aangezien daar mijn vrienden, vriendin en familie wonen. Daar ben ik ook opgegroeid. Ik zou mijzelf een betrouwbare en betrokken huisgenoot noemen aangezien ik sinds 2023 in verschillende woonsituaties heb gewoont. Ook hecht ik waarde aan schone, verzorgde ruimtes. Als je elkaar goed behandeld komt dat ook terug denk ik.
