I am an incoming student at Leiden University, hoping to start in February 2025. I would be doing a Master’s in Biology - specialising in genetics and biotech! I’ve graduated from my bachelor’s degree in Biosciences last year from Technological University Dublin and have been working in a lab for a big pharma company since, which is what made me realise I’d definitely want to go into genetic research. I’m 22 years old! I live in a commuter town near Dublin, Ireland. I was born here but my parents are Romanian. I love going out and socialising, but a lot of the time would prefer some good alone time, I really like making a routine for myself. I don’t really smoke or vape. I love nothing more than an unexpectedly good conversation with someone, and I’m a bad liar so that’ll also never be a problem. Honestly I will take anything when it comes to renting a room. Hi, My name is Jule. I’m 24 years old and grew up in Germany. I already moved to the Netherlands for my Bachelor’s in Psychology which was in Leiden. I then completed my Master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience in Nijmegen. This October, I started a PhD position at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen. I will be finishing my PhD in 2028, so in around 4 years. In Leiden, as well as in Nijmegen, I have lived in several shared privately rented houses with other students. Since I have now started working, I am looking for a bigger and quieter place that is suitable to just hang out and relax after work and during the weekend. I’m also a big nature and outdoors person so I would love the house to have a small garden. Next to my work in research, I enjoy outdoor sports including tennis and running.
