Hi! I’m Hannes - 22-year-old product designer from Bavaria (near Munich, Germany) and I will start my Master’s at TU Delft 1st of September. I recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Technical Design and I’m very passionate about design, furniture, and DIY projects. I played ice hockey for many years at a high level, and nowadays I love road cycling, mountain biking, going to the gym, and skiing. Even though I love the mountains, I’m really excited about living in the Netherlands and especially looking forward to cycling here – I even have a few vintage road bikes :) As a person, I’m clean, disciplined, and respectful in shared spaces. Hello! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too!
