While Wyvern is not strictly a student association, it has many students in it, as it has grown through word of mouth via the TU Delft campus. I'm following a BBL MBO opleiding where I work 4 days a week and have lessons 1 day a week, and I get paid pretty decently. Technical things are my jam, and I love tinkering. My current projects include an old cassette-playing boombox that I'm trying to get working again. Don't worry -- I always keep the volume to a minimum in general, or I put on headphones. At this point I'd prefer to live alone, as I've had some mixed results when it comes to roommates and would like to have the freedom to be fully myself in my safe space. In april heb ik mijn mbo-verpleegkunde afgerond en vanaf september ga ik door met de hbo-verpleegkunde aan de Hogeschool Leiden. Dat doe ik duaal, wat eigenlijk betekent dat ik vooral werk en maar één dag per week naar school ga. Samen koken, borrelen, een spelletje, feestje meepakken of gewoon lekker met een filmpje op de bank vind ik allemaal top. Door mijn onregelmatige diensten ben ik niet bij een studentenvereniging gegaan, maar juist daarom lijkt het me extra leuk om in een huis te wonen waar altijd wat gezelligheid om me heen is :)) Verder hou ik ervan om lekker actief bezig te zijn en ben ik eigenlijk altijd in voor gezelligheid of een spontaan plan. Good day, I would like to take this moment to introduce myself. My name is Marcel Els, and I have recently come over from South Africa on a temporary work contract with Otto workforce EU. Through the Otto workforce EU agency, I am currently working at the Albert Heijn Distribution Centre in Pijnacker. While I do currently have accommodation as supplied by Otto Workforce, I find myself enamoured with the country. This means that I will be endeavouring to bring my fiancée over so that we can start a new life here. To this end, I will need to find accommodation that is more suitable for the two of us as a couple. Ideally, we would like to find a place either in Delft or Rotterdam, closer to Pijnacker, in order to access my current work better. I do intend to seek more permanent employment closer to the end of my contract and feel that the indicated location is well-positioned for me to do so I am a German passport holder and EU citizen, but grew up in South Africa, hence am currently only fluent in English and Afrikaans - a derivative of the Dutch language. As I am only recently relocated to the Netherlands (September 2025), the only rental reference I have would be from my previous accommodation in South Africa and my current rental contract via Otto Workforce. On a personal level, I consider myself to be a God-fearing individual, trustworthy and reliable, with strong moral convictions. In South Africa, I was also a registered professional athlete, leading to exposure with many different people.
