Hoi! Mijn naam is Lily, ik word in september 18 jaar en ik ruil het bruisende Brussel binnenkort in voor het mooie Utrecht. Vanaf het nieuwe collegejaar start ik aan de Universiteit Utrecht met de Academische Pabo. Ik wist al vroeg dat ik het onderwijs in wilde, en deze studie is voor mij de absolute droomstap. Thuis in Brussel ben ik een gezellige en levendige boel gewend: ik woon daar met mijn ouders, mijn broertje van 10 en mijn tweelingbroertje en -zusje van 4. Door dat dynamische gezin ben ik heel zorgzaam en zelfstandig ingesteld, heb ik geleerd om goed tegen een stootje te kunnen en weet ik als geen ander hoe je rekening houdt met elkaar in één huis. Omdat Utrecht een gloednieuw avontuur voor me is, zoek ik niet zomaar een vierkante meter, maar een gezellige thuisbasis. Ik ben perfect tweetalig (Nederlands en Frans) en spreek ook Engels, wat handig is in een internationale stad. Daarnaast neem ik graag wat Brusselse gezelligheid mee naar Utrecht: ik ben altijd in voor samen eten, borrelen of een filmavond, en als goedmaker voor mijn Belgische accent wil ik best een keer echte Vlaamse stoofvlees of wafels voor het huis maken! Uiteraard snap ik de balans tussen gezelligheid en studie, en is ook schoonmaken of een eigen taak in huis oppakken voor mij de normaalste zaak van de wereld. My name is Fernando Rodríguez Barroso. I am a third-year student at Leiden University, studying International Relations and Organisations (Political Science). Born and raised in Jerez de la Frontera, I am Spanish and lived there until I was 18, when I went to study in the United States for a year. I have been living in The Hague for two years now, but my connection with the Netherlands goes back much further, thanks to a close friendship with a family in Amsterdam that began over eight years ago. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I already have a good command of Dutch, although I intend to keep improving it until I can speak it with complete fluency. For the time being, I plan to continue studying for my master’s degree in the Netherlands, as I feel very at home in this country and its culture. Wij zijn Huize Twee9, een gezellig studentenhuis met zowel Saxion als UT studenten. We eten elke avond samen in onze woonkamer of op ons dakterras in de zomer. We zijn allemaal actief bij studie/studenten/sportverenigingen. Om de week houden we maandag een huisavond waar we samen spelletjes spelen, EOTB of een film kijken of leuke activiteiten ondernemen, zoals thema-huisavonden. Ook gaan we regelmatig met elkaar naar festivals en organiseren we elk jaar SinterKerst en Nieuw.
