komend studiejaar ga ik Internationale Betrekkingen studeren in Utrecht. Daarom ben ik op zoek naar een kamer waar ik mij volledig kan richten op mijn studie en mijn toekomst. Ik kom oorspronkelijk uit Indonesië en woon inmiddels bijna vier jaar in Nederland. In deze periode heb ik hard gewerkt aan mijn integratie. Mijn inburgering heb ik bijna afgerond en ik kijk ernaar uit om mijn toekomst verder in Nederland op te bouwen. Mijn grootste droom is om later als diplomaat voor de Verenigde Naties te werken. Ik heb bewust gekozen voor de opleiding Internationale Betrekkingen in Utrecht, omdat de universiteit veel mogelijkheden biedt om mij zowel academisch als persoonlijk te ontwikkelen. Ik wil graag actief deelnemen aan activiteiten zoals de softbaltraining op maandagavond en de VN-club. Op deze manier kan ik nieuwe mensen leren kennen, mijn netwerk uitbreiden en waardevolle ervaring opdoen die aansluit bij mijn toekomstige carrière. Voor mij is wonen in Utrecht daarom meer dan alleen dichtbij de universiteit zijn. Het geeft mij de kans om optimaal gebruik te maken van alle faciliteiten en deel uit te maken van het studentenleven. Ik ben een rustige, nette en verantwoordelijke huisgenoot. I'll be moving to the Netherlands at the end of August to get my Masters in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University (The Hague Campus). Ideally, I'm trying to find a room in a shared apartment/house with roommates or a small apartment/studio either in The Hague, Leiden or Delft to rent for a little more than a year starting mid-August. I'm very excited to be studying "abroad" (or away from home, I guess) again, as I find that experiencing new cultures is one of the best things a young person can do. I'm a huge fan of traveling and I got my Bachelor's degree in the United States, so I think living somewhere different in Europe for my Masters will be a cool change. I'm used to living with people, I've always grown up with siblings and spent the last four years living with 1, 2 and all the way up to 6 people, so I'd say I'm quite adaptable and know how roommate life works. As for my free time, I looove all things food and going out to eat, hanging out with my roommates, reading, going out on the weekends but also having fun nights in. I would describe myself as a very active person, I've played tennis my whole life and played college sports while in the US but generally enjoy most sports (especially volleyball and football). I don't speak Dutch yet BUT I'll be learning, so for now I hope my German and English (and humble French) will suffice :). Excited to meet you guys!!
