We are a couple — I am a 26-year-old Spanish man, and my girlfriend is a 21-year-old French woman. We are currently working in Crete for the summer season. We are now actively preparing our move to Amsterdam, where we hope to settle and work in the hospitality or general services sector. We are highly motivated to build a stable life there. Both of us already have appointments scheduled for our BSN numbers on the 12th of November. Although it is more challenging to secure accommodation without already living in Amsterdam, we have organized ourselves carefully and are actively looking. By the end of our current contracts, we will have enough savings to cover all initial housing costs: security deposit, first month’s rent, and basic living expenses. We are confident that once settled in Amsterdam, we will find employment within a short period of time — based on our research and prior experience, likely within the first couple of weeks. We also have parental support and guarantors. For instance, my girlfriend’s mother is employed and owns her home outright (without a mortgage). This gives us additional security as we transition to life in the Netherlands. We completely understand that our current situation might raise some questions, especially considering our young age and the fact that we’re moving from abroad. However, we want to assure you that we are serious, responsible, and reliable. This move is not a temporary adventure — it is a step toward building a better and more stable future. In the past, I have lived in Madrid, and my girlfriend has lived in Paris. Ik schrijf zelf ook af en toe korte verhalen en schilder bijna elke dag. Ik kook graag, alleen of met anderen en kan erg genieten van groepsactiviteiten zoals sporten, wandelen of bordspelletjes.
