I'm looking for a place that feels like a home rather than just somewhere to sleep — ideally with flatmates who appreciate a clean, organized space and the occasional shared meal or weekend adventure. A bit about me: I have a background developing solar-powered water treatment infrastructure in East Africa. I love cycle touring, hiking, and flying small planes. I also own and manage a small number of rental properties in Texas, so I understand what it means to take care of a place and be a reliable tenant. I'm open to either a short-term stay as I look for something more permanent, or something longer-term if it’s the right fit. Besides the fact that my English level allows me to keep up long conversations on many topics, I am a master of household order: I sacredly respect the unwritten code of cleanliness. I possess a unique genetic code that compels me to recap the toothpaste tube, put things back where they belong, and wash my coffee mug immediately, rather than "in five minutes." I respect my roommates' food boundaries. I never touch anyone else's yogurts in the fridge, I don't leave empty cartons inside just for show, and I know how to cook meals that won't trigger the smoke alarm. I love to cook, and I'm good at it. My culinary highlights include homemade pizza and tiramisu.
